Conway Twitty原名Harold Lloyd Jenkins。他这个艺名来得不寻常，是从地图上找出来的：阿肯色州的“Conway”加上了德克萨斯州的“Twitty”。他先是在摇滚界耕耘，1958年的一曲“It's only make believe”曾荣登榜首。
