I can tell there are many of the folks here want to practise their English, so, why not just do it here? practice makes perfect, anyone want to chat?

Maybe one sentance per day, it's better than doing nothing.will you try?

To chat with others is only one way to upgrade English, but, it is an effective means. As for me, who crazy about it, I make it a habby to do the following in hope of improving:
First of all, to talk ,no matter to ohters or myself.
Secondly, to write anything I want,see,hear or feel.
Thirdly,to listen to lyrival English songs or news.
Fourthly, to read articals or novels which I am interested in.
Fithly, like now, chat on the Internet.

I'm so glad that there are so many reply. it seems a good idea to start this topic right here.

I mean when we start chatting,no matter what we chat, it would be a great pleasant to us. at least, I'm happy.

but what topic should we start? how about "Ang Lee" and his new movie "brokeback mountain". being a chinese, I think most of us don't agree with the gay things, that seems so call "unnatural", what do you guy think about this?

actually I do have the chance to go to the theater to see this movie, but until now, I still refuse to do that, because I really think it is kind of awful thing to see two men kiss each other. man can be good friend to each other, but how can they be a couple and do kind of "sex" things? I'm sick of this.

to answer this question, It seems can not simply say "yes" or "no". that's my understanding.

I read one of interseting news from a magezine, It says that a team of scientists found that romantic love involves chemical changes in the brain that last 12 to 18 months only. what do you think? is it make sense to you or not? that seems mean when you love somebody, the LOVE chemical "element" in your body can only last for 12 to 18 months!!! after that, it would be disappear, other words, it means you might be not LOVE your lover again.

here is a love story:
a man whose wife was suffering from advanced Alzheimer's disease for years,he came to sit with her every day and hold her hand. he say:"she's been my best friend since high school.we made a promise to stick together."
is this call true love or he just keep his promise, I really don't know.

but, I guess you know what is "Alzheimer's disease"means, when a person who catch this kind of disease, he or she will eventually lost his or her own mind, and forget all (or most) of his or her memory, so how do the "love" feelings come?

i am a little bit confused by this
and do not agree either

for nomal friend, people require less,for close friend,he/she might be the one who makes you happy and meanwhile be happy with you,but it does not mean he/she has same style as you.perhaps totally different

Regarding to friendship between man and woman, I have no right to speak, because I have no true and pure male friend. I just know the friendship must can be so pure as the one between two men or two women. If the man and woman can keep only spirit communication, it maybe , because sex is not the problem. when I was young,(that doesn't mean I am old now, but just means when I was single)I'd experience some of the feelings which about liking a beautiful girl but just because she was excellent, and I was kinda 'banal' and finally ,you know,I lost.

haha,seems my English has gone rusty.
i haven't seen that film(are you still talking about it).but i read some pictures.very moving.
from that on,i have no predudice on gays ou lesbeings,though i will not join them.

Money is the flower, heart is the root.
"心灵"is rich, "物质" will not be poor.
because we have to know how to survive in the material world.
Of course, some true nature things you can not buy with money, for example, "平和". But you can use money as a tool to improve your life quality both in "心灵"and "物质"。

although I'm the one who put himself to jail, away from his family and friends,away from the living environment where he'd lived for many years.what a pity!all these things happened just becauce I was too young and thought little of real life and true love.I thought money is the most important thing, finally, I was charged with "money grubber" and was sentenced to stay in jail...

A foreign country and foreign environment might be charming for traveler, but if you must stay at that place for long time, it should be similar as a big jail, even it might have beautiful scene, that is no meaning, because that is not your place.
Am I right? You just feel at jail in a foreign country. But since you can not change the situation by yourself, just try to find fun in the new environment. You might finally enjoy the new world. Take it as a chance to grow up.

I also have a real story to tell. It's very familiar . The story is about a married man and a lady whose husband died 5years ago. The man has a family, a wife who he doesn't love and a 13 months old son he loves. The man won't leave his family. although he loves the lady deeply.

[M24] as a slave of money,it's hard to have a good mood enjoying any of scenes or views. for a poor man who already became a "grown-up"man, had spent many of years tried to enjoy the new world,but finally found out it was totally a wasted-life (except his bank account)
