A piece of advice: at least 2 topics each time

Maybe only one topic is not enough for several people talking about within 2 hours, so why not giving more topics each time?

I'm now in an English training course, and I realize the importance of a proper topic, and I also understand it is very hard to give a topic that everyone has a lot to say.

Here are some topics I have in my course:
---the most exciting thing during this week;
---the person you admire or worship most;
---the person that influnce you most;
---the book or magazine you like most;
......

And if we interested in management, we can also talk about marketing, HRM, project management, public relation......

A debate may be held if more people join the activity, and the topic should be welcomed such as
---Does TV or WWW play a positive or negative role in our life?
---Does criticism do more harm than good to people?
---Is it good to live in a large modern city?
---Do advertisements play a positive or negative role in our society?
---Does divorce represent social progress?
---Are cars doing more harm than good?

I think we should not learn English just for English, English is only a tool to express our idears, so let's think in English, talk in English, and the most important, enjoy the learning process.

The reason why we just have prepared one topic is that we afraid of frequently converting the topics will not help us to discuss it more deeply.
