1. Strategy , Vision and Governance
Follow the vision and direction for GLTc within the overall GLT plan. Ensure that this is communicated, understood and executed by the support teams.
GLTc, as a stand alone legal entity the Centre Head is expected to be elected to the Board of the Company as a Director and be bound by the rules and obligations of a Company Director in that jurisdiction.
Be a member of the Global GLT Management Committee (GLT_MANCO)
2. Operational Management
Establish Local Operational Management Committee (OPSCO) and conduct/chair regular weekly OPSCO meetings. Together with the Centre Heads own responsibilities, OPSCO must include lead business partners from HR, Finance, and representatives of all Delivery Services divisions based at the centre.
3.External Relations
Liaise and maintain excellent relations with all external agencies, regulatory authorities and service providers i.e. State and Local Government departments, Customs & Central Excise, Labour Dept., Police Commissionerate office, Landlord, NGO’s etc. to ensure smooth and seamless operations support.
4. People
Together with the local HR Business Partner and OPSCO, lead the various initiatives to make GLT a ‘great place to work’. Conduct annual employee engagement survey and be directly responsible for attrition in direct report departments.
5.People & Team Management
Adopt mature people management practices that lead to high team morale and motivation level. Articulate HSBC values and lead by example and encourage collective management and cross team collaboration. Reward success and reject mediocrity. Work together with other GLTs. Regular team assessments; Provide an appropriate structure; Build the team as one cohesive unit and ensure synergies between various functions.
6.Financial Management
In conjunction with the local Finance Business Partner and OPSCO set and manage centre based budget/costs. To meet legal, fiscal, regulatory and internal Stakeholder requirements. Ensure that cost recovery under the SSO model is achieved.
7. Compliance
Together with the Internal Control department ensure all Group GSM and FIM requirements are implemented, and that compliance and audit requirements are satisfactorily met. Level of compliance measured by internal/external audit and regulators. Principal accountability to maintain **** internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and monitoring and mitigation of Operational Risk.
Where Information Security and Risk do not have a representative the Centre Head is responsible for performing the BIRO responsibilities.
8.Direct Management responsibilities
Centre Head is responsible for managing the following functions:
Guest Relations & Event Management to ensure visitor handling. Co-ordinate on Road Shows, Town halls, Events etc.
Facilities including Facility Management like capacity planning, physical security, CRE, Business Recovery and Infrastructure development.
Administration and Travel
Corporate Sustainability ensuring adherence to Group and GLT CS Policy and be a member Global CS committee.
Sports Club ensure availability of GLT standard recreational activities for the centre.
