Job Description:
The right candidate has to be a Material engineer. He is responsible for the research, specification, design and development of materials to advance technologies of many kinds of material. His or her expertise lies in understanding the properties and behaviours of different materials start from raw to finish products.
Scope of Role:
Enthusiastic individual needed to be accountable for creating a successful business partnership between Vibram and the China Military. The initial project goal is to find a beneficial way of integrating Hemp based materials into our products within a 6 month period.
Requirement
1)Knowledge of Composite based materials—Hemp knowledge preferred
2)Knowledge of rubber compounds preferred
3)Fully Committed about taking on one project and driving it to completion through existing team members
4)Driven to keep moving against a schedule
5)Able to move into China facility immediately upon accepting position
6)Must be able to manage a team with internal and external members
7)Organization and communication skills a must
8)Existing Military relationship preferred
9)English and Chinese language skills are mandatory
10)Able to travel globally as necessary

Mission
To evaluate and test all materials to be employed in our processes under R&D Lab Manager
To evaluate patents of our interest
Activities
To analyze and test all new materials arriving on the market to verify suitability to our processes
to run trials and prepare prototype to test the performance of these materials
to keep updated survey of materials with technical information for designer/developer of our sector (materotheque)
to manage contact with external potential new suppliers
to keep a survey and to evaluate all patents of our interest from a technical point
Skills
Graduated in Engineering (Chemical. Materials, Polymers) or similar studies, possible Industrial Designer with good knowledge in materials
previous experiences at least 3-4 years in R&D activities, working on materials preferably in apparel/accessory/sports goods companies
aptitude to problem solving
English language written and spoken fluently

Mid-Sole Project Manager
Scope of Role:
Enthusiastic individual needed to bring extensive midsole experience to our technical team. Directly accountable for creating a successful new line of Midsole technologies.
1.Extensive knowledge of biomechanical pros/cons of midsole systems
2.Knowledge of Midsole based materials such as PU, EVA
3.Knowledge of Midsole machinery and processes
4.Fully Committed about taking on one project and driving it to completion
